Preparing for Wildfire Smoke Exposure

Preparing for Wildfire Smoke Exposure
In our region, wildfires are an annual expectation. I am always watching the skies for smoke in the summer as soon as the weather gets hot. Sometimes the smoke precedes the heat, but we get it every year. I count us as blessed in years when the smoke is mild and short-lived.
The NAEM (National Association of Environmental Medicine) published an update this year with up-to-date recommendations on what the dangers are, and how to prepare the body to be as resilient as possible through the smoke season. They have several webinars you may access, including their slide sets, as well as downloadable handouts. Here is their link, available for the general public: https://envmedicine.com/wildfire-smoke/
I realize this is a bit late for 2023, but it will be a great help for next year. I have created a supplement list that comprehensively covers all the nutritional needs to combat the toxicity of wildfire smoke. Prevention means having this on hand before you need it.
