Intuition is one of the many blessings that Renée Woods  brings to the diagnostic relationship she builds with every patient. With the skills gained through rigorous education and years of clinical practice, her ability to listen and delve beyond the obvious often draws patients to her with challenging symptoms that have confounded others.

Her career revolved around the care of women until deciding in 2009 to focus her practice on wellness work for men and women including bio-identical hormone therapy and strategies for healthy aging. She is engaged in intensive, ongoing study in these areas as research continues to reveal the  strong connection between nutrition, fitness, body and blood chemistry and metabolism.

She is intrigued by the "hard cases" that other providers have not resolved.  She finds herself asking the "why" behind the symptom or problem, and with that answer, she looks deeper to see is there a "why" behind that. Her goal is always to get to the root of a health issue and then take an approach to treatment which considers the whole patient in the diagnostics, not just the "case" at hand.

Following undergraduate work at Texas Christian University and medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern, she completed her internship and residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas in 1991.  Dr. Woods  practiced obstetrics until 2005, then narrowed the field to gynecology with a special emphasis continuing on women's hormones and wellness, and added expertise on both surgical and non-surgical urinary/ bladder health. She is board certified, a fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and enrolled in the Fellowship of Anti-aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine.

The practice she has developed has had a foundation of attentive listening and caring which establishes a strong bond between herself as physician and the patient as client.  These relationships stand the test of time;  patients develop a strong loyalty to Dr. Woods' practice, knowing that she has their background, cares about them as a person and friend. As the patient's walk through life undergoes the ebbs and flows of life events and changes that require health assistance, they know that Dr. Woods is there for them to tell them how to make the best choices to move forward to restored health and vitality.

Dr. Woods  moved her family, now grown, to Washington in 2000 and considers the state her home. After 10+ years in the Wenatchee and Chelan areas, she now practices in Yakima, Washington. Her practice recently moved to its new location at 915 Summitview Avenue, Yakima, Washington.
